What is a hydraulic hose assembly
Author:
Hydraulic hose assembly, also called hose assembly, or hose fitting, is an assembly structure formed by crimping and assembling the two ends of the hose and the metal connection joint reinforced by steel wire braiding or winding. The steel wire reinforcement layer of the rubber hose is generally divided into two types: steel wire braid and steel wire winding, the number of reinforcement layers is generally from 1 layer to up to 6 layers, of which the inner rubber layer contains the fluid medium, the reinforcement layer is the skeleton, ensuring pressure, and the outer rubber layer protects the reinforcement layer.

The connection form of metal joint is divided into thread type and flange type, and the common sealing types of threaded joints are 24° cone O-ring elastic seal, 74° cone metal hard seal, flat O-ring elastic seal. What are the precautions for the use of hydraulic hose assembly? Let's take a look together:
1. Working pressure: the pressure that can be withstood by long-term stable work; This pressure value must be equal to or greater than the pressure of the hydraulic system (impulse pressure or peak pressure of the hydraulic system).
2. Test pressure: under 2 times the working pressure, the pressure is held for 60 seconds, no leakage, no pressure value drop.
3. Burst pressure: generally refers to 4 times the working pressure value.
4. Temperature range: generally refers to -40 °C to 100 °C.
5. The basic model specification of the hose is identified by the inner diameter of the hose, that is, the nominal diameter DN after rounding.
6. Hose bending radius: refers to the bending radius that can be selected when working continuously under pressure, which is less than the recommended bending radius and will seriously affect the strength of the hose. In addition, the straight length of the transition between the hose and the hose fitting connection should be greater than 1.5 times the outer diameter of the hose.
7. Arrangement of hose assembly: should avoid damage to the hose due to stretching, compression, twisting, or friction at an acute angle, and should not be used in the torsion state.
8. Storage of hose assembly: affected by temperature, light and other factors, its validity period is difficult to determine. The DIN standard stipulates that the hose used in the assembly assembly must be produced within four years, and the service life of the hose assembly shall not exceed 6 years after production, of which the storage time shall not exceed 2 years in 6 years. ISO standards stipulate that hoses and hose assemblies must not be valid for more than 10 years. After storage, if the surface of the hose is visually cracked, rusted, etc., a pressure test should be done before use, and the validity period of the O-ring in the fitting should not exceed 2 years.
